->Ireland
Last year I went on an exchange year to Ireland, and you'll be thinking ¨what an absolutely weird place to go¨...my thoughts were the same before i got there, but after it, I realised that i was wrong, it was much worse than what I expected.
Basically, everything was green, there were more cows and sheep than population, the roads were old, everything was old... Damn I was in the middle of nowhere.
So that was my first thought of Ireland, and it took a long time to change them.
After a few months there, living in the countryside about 20 minutes from the town, smoking cigarettes under the rain sorrounded by dark, I couldnt even see a sign of life out of my house. All of those lonely moments helped me to realise about so many things. I discovered that as much time you spend on your own, more philosophyc thoughts you discover... or at least that happened to me.
Why do we have to spend thousens of euros to learn english in a fucking town in Ireland? its not just English, well its the experience of meeting new people, getting to know what do they do in those boredom moments. Irish people know how to fight that boredom, and guess how? this is one of my reasons of living---> Alcohol.
Why people drink? people drink to fight boredom.
if life was always fun we wouldnt have those little moments to think about stuff, to start some philosophyc theories, to imagine your perfect life, exactly, just to THINK, so here is where i propose my theory:
Beeing bored helps the world to progress?
